The past few weeks in Reno have been chilly
(if that means below
freezing). So
this local pond froze solid enough to walk on quite a ways from shore.
I ventured out very close to the water hole in the center and seeing
what looked like cracks and thin spots in the ice, decided I
didn't want to go for a swim just yet. For the geese it's probably just
an opportunity to go ice fishing. If geese fly south for the winter
and these guys ended up here - how cold is the place they left?! Got any
ice skates?
